Tapestry A mon seul desir
"A mon seul désir" is the major piece of the "Lady with Unicorn" series composed of six tapestries each representing the five senses: taste, smell, touch, sight and hearing.
This tapestry would embody the sixth sense, that of the heart.
It depicts a young woman of high society with her next one, they are surrounded by a unicorn and a lion on a red background with a thousand flowers and animals.
A masterpiece of the early French Renaissance, it is kept at the National Middle Age-Thermes Museum and Cluny hostel in Paris.
It is woven in wool, wool and silk or silk, lined with an unbleached cotton canvas with a hanging slide and provided with its "TISSAGE ART DE LYS" certificate.
